The People's Democratic Party is a political party in Mobius. It is generally positioned in the centre of the Mobian political spectrum. The party's leader is Geoffrey St. John, who serves as the Prime Minister of Mobius.
The People's Democratic Party is the successor to multiple left-wing parties which have existed in Mobius for over a century. History aside, the People's Democratic Party formed the first official opposition in 1976, with Gerald Jones becoming Leader of the Official Opposition, Jones served from 1977 to 1989 when the party won a minority government in the 1988 congressional election with him as Prime Minister. In 1992, the party was defeated by the Mobian Justice Party. In 1996, the party won a minority government with Geoffrey St.John as Prime Minister. The party has remained in power since.
The party has won a majority government since the 2000 election.
