The House of McCloud is the royal house of the Mobian Confederation. The dynasty is of Celtic paternal descent and was originally a branch of the Scandinavian Era, itself derived from the Roman family Ictoria, which was a branch of the Greek family Alcmaeonidae which in turn was a branch of the Sargonic Dynasty as they are descendants of Abaish-takal, one of Sargon's children. The House of McCloud has only one member as the monarch of the Mobian Confederation so far, that one member is Myles McCloud. Outside of royalty, the House of McCloud is a very powerful family based in Hartford, Connecticut. They are a political family with two Congressmen, three Congresswomen, four Senators, two Governors, one Secretary of State, and two Presidents. They also have three main branches.
The current head of the house is monarch of the Mobian Confederation, the Duke of Leód, and the Patriarch of All McClouds.
The members of the House of McCloud are the last living descendants of Sargon of Akkad.
Foundation[edit | edit source]
Leod of Scandinavia, was a member of the Scandinavian ancestors of the modern McClouds by virtue of his descent from Hjerd Jonason (Leod's father). He moved to Gaelic Scotland in the 8th Century due to his hatred of the extreme cold. Later on, he got married and had kids. Due to Gaelic tradition, his children bore the surname: Mac Leòid. The following day, he then made it a rule that all of his descendants will bear the name Mac Leòid or any equivalent of said name such as Anglicizations and etc.
I, Leod Hjerdson hearby declare that, until the end of time, my descendants shall bear the surname Mac Leòid and any of its equivalents....
The name of the main line had since been changed to Mac Leóid in the 11th Century and then to McCloud some time after the family moved to Massachusetts and then to Connecticut in the 17th Century. The family still owns the same centuries-old castle and Duchy to this day.
Branches[edit | edit source]
There are three major branches of the House of McCloud. Each of them are their own clan:
Clan McCloud of Leód - The main line of the House of McCloud, their main seat is at Castle Leóid in the village of Rexton (Baile an Rí in Gaelic) near Galway, Ireland. Currently, almost all of the main line live in the United States with the Patriarch's immediate family residing in Hartford, Connecticut. They are also the richest and most powerful of the three main branches. The chief of the main line McClouds is Myles McCloud
Clan MacLeod of Harris and Dunvegan - Formerly the more favourable branch to the main line McClouds until the ascension of Myles McCloud as Patriarch of All McClouds and chief of Clan McCloud of Leód in 2016. Their main seat is at Dunvegan Castle close to the town of Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The chief of the MacLeods of Harris and Dunvegan is Hugh Magnus MacLeod. However, there is a rival claim due to the fact that John MacLeod descended in the direct male-line from Robert Wolrige-Gordon his father.
Clan MacLeod of Lewis - Formerly the less favourable branch to the main line McClouds until the ascension of Myles McCloud as Patriarch of All McClouds and chief of Clan McCloud of Leód in 2016. Their main seat is unknown since their original main seat of Stornoway Castle near the town of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland was torn down by Cromwell's forces in the 17th Century. The original line of the chiefship went extinct in the 16th Century and the MacLeods of Raasay would have the chiefship passed to them. The MacLeods of Rassay still hold the chiefship to this day. The cheif of the MacLeods of the Lewes is Torquil Donald MacLeod.
Akkadian Claimant[edit | edit source]
For centuries, the McClouds have always pursued a claim on the lands of the former Akkadian Empire. This claim consists parts of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. However, there is a rival claimant to the Akkadian Empire by the Genivoryye family who also descended from the Sargonic dynasty.
